Committee Expand to 18 New Appointments Reflect Broadening Coverage
of e-Commerce Standard For OTC Financial Derivatives Trading NEW YORK, June 18 - FpML.org, the non-profit consortium developing Financial products Markup Language as the freely licensed e-Commerce standard supporting OTC trading of financial derivatives, said that HCL Perot Systems (HPS) and Integral Development Corporation will provide representatives on the organization's Standards Committee. This brings to 18 the number of firms represented. Brian Lynn of JP Morgan, co-chair of the committee, said the appointments support work to expand the standard to cover additional asset classes. HPS is represented by Ms. Padma Parthasarathy, a Group Manager for Financial Services; Integral Development is represented by co-founder Dr. Viral Tolat. Mr. Lynn also said that Peter Fraenkel, Manager of the Quantitative Programming Group at Morgan Stanley, and Dieter Stein, Manager of the Integration and Implementation of the Credient Service at SunGard Trading and Risk Systems, have been appointed to the Standards Committee to fill vacated positions. The Standards Committee implements the strategy set by the organization's Board of Directors by defining and maintaining the FpML standard as well as evolving the standard to cover more products or to support additional business services. The activities of the Committee are accomplished through Working Groups. Working Groups, represented by numerous other organizations, are focusing on FX options, Interest Rate Derivatives, Equity Derivatives and the standard's Business Message and Architecture.
