Issue #295 (refactoring exercise structure)
===========================================
MTF agrees that it is up to EQD to produce a specific proposal to implement
this.
The MTF agrees that
1) the additional EQD elements (e.g. exerciseTime/exerciseTimeType) shoul be
put into a model group to improve reusability.
2) The equity exercise types should be derived from the corresponding shared
exercise types if possible (e.g. EquityBermudaExercise from BermudaExercise,
etc.)
Action: Brian to update issue
Issue #642 - Simplify validation rules for interval.
====================================================
MTF does not support moving to the xsd:duration type in place of the FpML
Interval type.
MTF recommends that both of the proposed rules in the issue be adopted as
rules for the shared schema.
Action: Brian to update issue
Accounts/Roles/Parties/etc
==========================
We discussed this issue, including Robert's proposal, and agreed
- the list of organizational relationships may vary by trade and over time
- some of the organizational relationships may not be an important aspect of
the trade itself, but rather of the settlement process (for example) around
a trade.
- a typical scenario we are interested in being able to represent is the
following:
IM does a deal with a bank that also happens to be its prime broker
IM notifies a custodian notifies the custodian of the deal so that
the custodian can be able to settle
with the prime broker
- In this scenario the IM needs to be able to set up relationships between
accounts at the prime broker and those at the custodian.
- It may be worth modeling these relationships as separate business objects
rather than as attributes of trades, parties, or accounts.
Andrew Jacobs will attempt to produce an entity-relationship diagram that
shows how trades, parties, and accounts are linked together by relationships
(such as prime brokerage or custody).
