RE: MTF Vote on messaging options - REMINDER
=== My vote
1) first choice: 3; second choice 2
2a) yes
2b) yes
2c) yes
=== Reasons
I've just reviewed the SWIFT FIN UNIFI reverse engineering proposals
and they seem to be heading in a similar direction.
They propose two levels of cancellation :
- a request for cancellation of the business object which can be refused
(eg. CancellationRequest - of the settlement transaction in a
settlement instruction message)
which is the topic of this vote; and
- a notification about the cancellation of a message
(eg. CancellationAdvice - of a settlement instruction status message).
There is still some analysis to be done with Replace (for Settlement
Instructions)
which could be broken down into specific messages to:
CHANGE an amount of bid,
ENRICH settlement instructions with CSD info,
factor updates for ACCOUNTING, and
set repurchase date for REPO.
