All,
·
I am a bit puzzled regarding [1] below.
·
[2] below is something we might discuss in the WG
after clarifying [1].
·
I would be grateful if someone (-who had requested or implemented,
perhaps) could clarify [1] below, before the next WG so that we are ready to
discuss [2], if possible.
[1] I have noticed the 4-4 TR-1 (build 7) has elements
<excludeSpecialDividends> and <nonCashDividend>, and it seems to me
that they are for the same purpose as what <specialDividends> and
<materialDividend> of our Japanese Dividend proposal are for. The build 7
date is 9th June, while our proposal was sent on the 16th and it was
not discussed until later in the week, so it does not look like a case of our
proposal reflected with different naming. Is the above assumption correct (-is our
proposal a duplicated one)?
[2] Our proposal also includes annotations for the two elements as [Exclude Special Dividends and Memorial Dividends]
and [Exclude Material Non-Cash Dividends]
respectively. Since they are Boolean (as opposed to passing ‘Not
Applicable’), the annotations together with the non-negative tag name
might make it ambiguous as to whether ‘true’ means applicable or
excluded. This applies to <nonCashDividend> as well, and in this sense
<excludeSpecialDividends> is clearer. Alternatively, both the tag names
and the annotations can be made positive to mean that ‘true’
signifies inclusion of the respective dividends.
Best regards,
Takeo
