I’ve been able to create a small XSLT script that
extends the standard 5.0 schema generation script and can generate different
FpML extensions from a small master extension schema depending on the view. It
was a useful exercise, because it suggested a few minor tweaks to make to the FpML
5.0 schema to make it easier to edit the extension schema. I propose to add the demonstration extension schema and an
example (yet to be developed) to the FpML 5.0 codebase, so that it is generated
and distributed as part of all views. Does this make sense? I’ve attached the scripts, the master extension schema
(example-extension.xsd), and the generated example extension schema for pretrade
(example-extension-5-0.xsd). -
